Global Prevalence
Angle-closure glaucoma is estimated to affect about 20% of the global glaucoma population, with open-angle glaucoma making up the remaining 80%.
In 2020, approximately 23 million people worldwide were affected by primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG).
It is expected that the number of cases will increase due to the aging global population.
